Tipos de la colección de aves del Instituto de Ecología y Sistemática, Cuba

Resumen: En el presente trabajo se hace una lista de los especímenes tipos conocidos en la colección de aves del Instituto de Ecología y Sistemática de Cuba. Esta lista, incluye 63 especímenes representando a 20 holótipos, 15 síntipos, y 28 parátipos de un total de 26 especies y subespecies. Las colecciones fueron iniciadas en 1844 por el naturalista alemán Juan C. Gundlach. El listado de este catálogo ha sido organizado por orden sistemático. Cada especie nombrada está seguida por su número de catálogo, sexo del espécimen, localidad, y la referencia de la descripción original.

Abstract: Type specimens of birds in the collection of the Institute of Ecology and Systematics, Cuba- In this paper, we list the known type specimens of birds in the collection of the Instituto de Ecología y Sistemática, Cuba. This list includes 63 specimens representing 20 holotypes, 15 syntypes, and 28 paratypes of 26 nominal species and subspecies. The collections were initiated in 1844, by the German naturalist Juan C. Gundlach. The main list in this catalog is arranged in systematic order. Each species name is followed by the catalogue number, sex of the specimen, locality, and the reference of the original description.
